In short
Two dated items this month: book club at the Syracuse Library on July 16 from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m., and a seniors lunch and bingo at the Community Center on Wednesday, July 31, with bingo at 1 pm and lunch at $3 per person. Reservations for lunch and bingo close at noon on Tuesday, July 23, and no reservations are taken after that unless someone cancels. The center is also collecting ideas for the monthly bus trip.
Dates and deadlines
- July 16 Book Club, 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the Syracuse Library.
- July 23, noon RSVP deadline for lunch and bingo. Call 801-614-9660 option 1. After this date, names go on a wait list.
- July 31 Seniors Lunch & Bingo at the Community Center, 1912 W 1900 S. Menu is beef and broccoli, bingo at 1 pm, $3 per person.
Everything else
- Bus trip No July trip is listed. The center is asking seniors to call or email with ideas for where they would like to go. Community Center: 801-614-9660 option 1.
- Weekly activities Think Tuesday games every Tuesday at 10 am at the Community Center; common games are Mexican Train, Three to Kings, Tri-Ominos, Nada, and Yahtzee, and you can bring your own game.
- Senior yoga Tuesdays and Thursdays at 8 a.m. for anyone 50+ at $2.00, or 60+ at $0.50, and free with a Community Center membership. The class works on strength, balance, and mobility.
- Pickleball Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9 a.m. to 12 noon. Adults $2.00, seniors 60+ $0.50, free with a Community Center membership.
