In short
Two sign-up deadlines drive October for Syracuse seniors. The monthly bus trip goes to Gardner Village on Wednesday, October 8, but you have to sign up by October 1. Lunch and bingo is Wednesday, October 29 for $3 per person, with an RSVP deadline of noon on October 21. Book club meets October 21 at the library and the quilt guild meets October 14 at the Community Center.
Dates and deadlines
- Wednesday, October 1 last day to sign up for the October 8 bus trip.
- Wednesday, October 8 bus trip to Gardner Village. The bus leaves the Community Center, 1912 W 1900 S, at 10:30 am and returns by 3 pm at the latest. Lunch at Archibald’s at 11:30 am, then time for the Witches display and shopping. Bring money for lunch and shopping. Gardner Village Witch Fest
- Tuesday, October 14, 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm Syracuse Quilt Guild, Community Center classrooms.
- Tuesday, October 21, 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm book club at the Syracuse Library.
- Tuesday, October 21, noon RSVP deadline for the October 29 lunch and bingo. Call 801-614-9660 opt. 1 or stop by.
- Wednesday, October 29 seniors lunch and bingo, $3 per person. Menu is cheeseburgers, butternut squash, zucchini, and fruit. Bingo starts around 12:20 to 12:30.
Everything else
- Ongoing drop-in activities continue: Think Tuesday games every Tuesday at 10:00 am at the Community Center, senior yoga Tuesdays and Thursdays at 8 am, and pickleball Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 am to 1 pm. Yoga and pickleball are $0.50 for a day pass for anyone 60 and over, and free with a Community Center membership.
